Jackets add offensive line help with flip of IOL Krew Moledor
The early signing period often includes some surprises, and Georgia Tech certainly got one on Thursday as 2026 interior offensive lineman Krew Moledor flipped his commitment from Louisville to the Jackets during a ceremony at his high school.
The Gainesville (Ga.) standout announced the decision in front of coaches, faculty, family, friends and teammates at the school, switching his pledge to Georgia Tech after being committed to Louisville since June over several other offers.
The flip to GT came about quickly for Moledor
Moledor spoke with JOL on Thursday and said the decision to flip his commitment to Georgia Tech was something that happened in the last few days as the Jackets’ staff contacted him and made a big push to get him in the 2026 class.
“Georgia Tech texted me Sunday morning seeing if I had any interest, and I did,” said Moledor. “We got on a call and talked about Georgia Tech and the things they are doing over there. I decided to flip to Georgia Tech because I believe in what Georgia Tech is doing, and I’m excited to stay close to home!”
Moledor pumped to play for Key and Wade
Moledor is the third offensive lineman in the 2026 class for Georgia Tech along with East Coweta (Ga.) offensive tackles and twin brothers Courtney Heard and Courtlin Heard. The Jackets have made it an emphasis to improve in the trenches through high school recruiting and the transfer portal in the last few years in a surprise to no one as the program is led by head coach Brent Key, a former offensive lineman himself, who has several former OL and DL on his coaching staff along with him.
Moledor said the chance to play for Key and GT offensive line coach Geep Wade is something he’s really looking forward to.
“It’s exciting,” said Moledor. “I know Coach Key is a great OL coach and coached on a very talented Alabama team. And Coach Wade is a great coach as well, and they are excited to coach me, which makes me excited to be coached by them!”
Moledor ready to get to work on The Flats
Moledor confirmed with JOL that he would be an early enrollee and on campus at Georgia Tech in January. He currently has his sights set on a state championship run at Gainesville as the Red Elephants will visit Langston Hughes on Friday in the GHSA’s Class AAAAA State Quarterfinals.
Moledor said he is grateful for the chance to play at Georgia Tech and wants the Jackets’ fans to know that he will be all in once he arrives to be a part of the program.
“I just want to say all glory to God for this opportunity!” said Moledor.
“I am a very hard worker who is obsessed with being the best at everything I do,” added Moledor with his message to the GT fans.
