The Alabama Crimson Tide have made it past the first round of cuts by elite 2025 quarterback George MacIntyre.

On Monday, MacIntyre narrowed his offer sheet of nearly three dozen schools down to just 10 programs. Along with Bama making the cut, MacIntyre included Auburn, FIU, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, and UCLA on his list.

Per the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings, MacIntyre is the No. 13 overall sophomore prospect in the country. He also checks in as the No. 2 quarterback and the top-ranked player in Tennessee in his class.

Alabama extended an offer to MacIntyre back in February of this year. Since then, they have received four visits from the product of Nashville (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy.

MacIntyre, whose most recent visit to Tuscaloosa was for the Texas game on Sept. 9, had the following to say about the program in a conversation with BOL last month.

“Bama has been great,” MacIntyre previously told BOL. “I think one of the biggest things with Bama has been knowing the guys I could play with. I know there would be dogs around me. I’ve already become close with a couple of them. They’ve got a couple of silent commits that I’ve been talking with.”

Four former Alabama quarterbacks are currently starting in the NFL. MacIntyre has taken notice of the development at his position in recent years.

“A lot of schools will tell you what they can do with you. Bama shows you what they actually know they can do with you,” MacIntyre said. “Their last four starters are NFL starters. That’s a big part of it.”

As of publishing this article, Alabama is trending on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land MacIntyre’s commitment. The On3 RPM currently gives Bama an 80 percent chance at landing MacIntyre’s commitment. On3’s Josh Newberg entered an expert prediction in favor of the Crimson Tide with a 65% confidence level on Sept. 27.

Alabama’s 2025 class checks in at No. 1 in the On3 Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings. The group features commitments from Five-Star Plus+ wideout Ryan Williams and fellow elite receiver Jaime Ffrench. Four-star prospects Anthony Rogers, Antonio Coleman, Dontrell Glover, and Mason Short are also in this class.

George MacIntyre Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote the following about MacIntyre as a prospect:

“Tall, strong-armed passer who looks like one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2025 cycle early on. Has a slender build, checking in around 6-foot-5, 180 pounds. Flashes a quick, tight throwing motion with the ability to drive the ball downfield with ease. Comfortable delivering to multiple levels of the field from within the pocket or outside of structure.

“Capable of placing high-level throws into tight windows. More of a pass-first quarterback, but shows encouraging pocket movement and improvisational skills as a first-year varsity starter. Posted an efficient sophomore season while playing against good competition. Doubles as a top basketball player with Power 5 offers on the hardwood. Will need to continue adding mass and strength to his frame. Projects as one of the top 2025 quarterback prospects.”
