Alabama senior outside linebacker Chris Braswell has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl in early February, the game announced on Friday morning.

Braswell is the third Crimson Tide player to accept an invite to play in the upcoming all-star game for seniors, which will take place inside Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Kicker Will Reichard and defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe accepted theirs last month.

Braswell played in every game of this past season and was on the field for the first snap twice, although he was the Tide’s starting Jack linebacker. He finished the 2023 campaign with career-highs in tackles (42), tackles for loss (10.5), sacks (8.0), forced fumbles (3) and interceptions (1). Braswell ranked fifth in the SEC in sacks in his final season of college.

Braswell was one of 10 Alabama players who were selected to the Senior Bowl’s preseason watch list that also included Trey Amos, Jermaine Burton, Justin Ebogibe, Trezmen Marshall, Jase McClellan, Seth McLaughlin, Malachi Moore, Tim Smith and Roydell Williams.

The Senior Bowl, the longest continual-running all-star game, has taken place in Mobile the past 74 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1,100 media members from around the country were credentialed last year. In each of the past three years, the Senior Bowl has had 100 or more players drafted and over 40 percent of the draft class, which are both record-setting figures for any all-star game.

Six Alabama players participated in some portion of the 2023 Senior Bowl in defensive linemen DJ Dale and Byron Young, offensive linemen Emil Ekiyor and Tyler Steen, defensive back DeMarcco Hellams and tight end Cameron Latu, who suited up for the American team.

The 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl will kick off Saturday, Feb. 3, at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile. To see this year’s full list of accepted invites for the upcoming game, CLICK HERE.
