Trio of Alabama players plan to attend 2024 NFL Draft
The 2024 NFL Draft is exactly two weeks away. On Thursday evening, we learned from Adam Schefter of ESPN that a trio of Alabama players will be traveling to Detroit (Mich.) to attend the draft in person. Those players include defensive back Terrion Arnold, offensive tackle JC Latham and edge rusher Dallas Turner.
Not only that, but there are only 13 players who are scheduled to attend, which means Alabama represents almost a fourth of those. Here is the entire list of names that we shared by Schefter via X (formerly known as Twitter):
- DB Terrion Arnold, Alabama
- QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
- WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
- OL JC Latham, Alabama
- EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA
- QB Drake Maye, North Carolina
- DB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
- WR Malik Nabers, LSU
- WR Rome Odunze, Washington
- DL Darius Robinson, Missouri
- WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
- EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama
- QB Caleb Williams, USC
All three of the Alabama players who are scheduled to attend are currently projected to go in the first round that Thursday night. According to a lot of mock drafts, UA cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry is also expected to hear his name called on Day 1 (giving the Crimson Tide four total), but he has other plans for that first night.
Obviously, that 2021 recruiting cycle was pretty good to Alabama. Of the six top-35 players UA inked in that class, four of them are currently projected to go in the first round. Former UA receiver Jameson Williams also went No. 12 to the Detroit Lions in the 2022 NFL Draft, and we’re still waiting to see where talents such as linebacker Deontae Lawson, quarterback Jalen Milroe and defensive lineman Tim Keenan end up.
The 2024 draft is set to start on Thursday, April 25 and run through Saturday, April 27. Start time is set for 7 p.m. CT (8 ET), and it will air on ESPN, ABC and the NFL Network. Stay tuned for more draft coverage from BOL!
