Auburn lands at No. 22 in latest AP poll
AUBURN — Auburn football moved up in the AP top-25 poll following its 31-15 victory over South Alabama over the weekend.
The Tigers moved up two spots to No. 22.
SEC with 11 teams ranked
Eleven SEC teams found themselves ranked in the AP top-25 following Week 3 of the college football season. LSU is the top-ranked team from the conference at No. 3, followed by Georgia (No. 5), Texas (No. 8), Texas A&M (No. 10) Oklahoma (No. 11), Ole Miss (No. 13), Alabama (No. 14), Tennessee (No. 15), Vanderbilt (No. 20) and Missouri (No. 23).
Auburn’s future schedule
With three games down, Auburn will face six ranked teams for out of the remaining nine games.
Auburn opens its conference slate with four straight games against teams ranked in this week’s AP poll. Road games against No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 10 Texas A&M kickoff SEC play, followed by a bye week and then a home game against No. 5 Georgia.

The Tigers host No. 23 Missouri on Oct. 18 and travel to No. 20 Vanderbilt Nov. 8. Vanderbilt jumped into the top 25 following a 31-7 thrashing of South Carolina, which dropped out of the poll following the loss.
Alabama moved up five spots to No. 14 following its win over Wisconsin and Auburn plays the Crimson Tide Nov. 29.
No. 22 Auburn faces No. 11 Oklahoma on the road Sept. 20 at 2:30 p.m. CST.
