FSU lands commitment from 4-star OL Da'Ron Parks to finish off strong summer

It wasn’t an easy recruitment for Florida State, as the Seminoles had to battle with Auburn, Kentucky, and even a push from Ohio State. But in the end, FSU had the most momentum, and on Saturday, four-star offensive lineman Da’Ron Parks announced his commitment to the Seminoles over the Tigers and the rest.
He announced his commitment during a live stream on Instagram.
Parks’ decision comes one day after he announced he was transferring from his high school in Sarasota to one in West Virginia.
According to the Rivals Industry Ranking, Parks is the nation’s No. 37 interior offensive lineman and one of the top 400 prospects in the country.
The 6-foot, 4-inch Parks took his official visit to Florida State in June and had strong feelings about the program leading up to his decision. He said he was blown away by the visit and liked what he saw of the Seminoles’ culture.
“They have a great coaching staff built,” Parks told Rivals in announcing his decision. “Especially on the offensive side of the ball with Gus (Malzahn), Herb (Hand) and Coach (Mike) Norvell obviously. They recruited me at UCF, too, so I’ve built a relationship with all of those coaches for a long time — and then they came together.
Parks becomes Florida State’s 22nd commitment for its 2026 recruiting class, which is ranked in the top 15 nationally.

Michael’s analysis on Florida State landing Parks
This might not look like a huge deal to some since Parks is listed by some networks as a three-star prospect — but make no mistake, he’s one of the top offensive line targets FSU has been after and someone the Seminoles really valued in this class.
Inside the program, he’s viewed much higher than that ranking suggests. In fact, the buzz around Florida State is that Parks might be the earliest contributor out of the four offensive linemen the ‘Noles have landed so far.
FSU already has commitments from linemen Luke Francis, Mike Ionata and Jakobe Green, and Parks brings some real excitement to the offensive tackle spot. Even with his addition, there’s still a good chance Florida State looks to add one or two more before this class is finished.
Bottom line: This is another big-time recruiting win for the ‘Noles — both in terms of fit and addressing a major need.
