Glenn Schumann not going to Bama, Brock Bowers the GOAT? – The Georgia Show

Glenn Schumann isn’t going to Alabama to take the Tide’s defensive coordinator job. We discussed that and a Brock Bowers legacy debate on The Georgia Show.

First things first, Glenn Schumann appears to be staying at Georgia.

The Alabama defensive coordinator job seemed like the biggest threat to lure Schumann away from his co-defensive coordinator role at Georgia.

Schumann is an Alabama alum, and who could turn down the opportunity to go learn from Nick Saban?

Well, I imagine Alabama at least kicked the tires on Schumann, and he didn’t take the job. Kevin Steele did.

Now, can another enticing job pop up and present an offer Glenn Schumann can’t refuse?

This is big-time College Football. Anything is possible. But the Dawgs appear to have some stability in an assistant coach who helped Kirby Smart build this Georgia machine from day one.

Could Brock Bowers become the greatest Bulldog of all time?

We had some discussion about the Senior Bowl and what it means for the Dawgs in this year’s NFL Draft.

The takeaway: the week leading up to the game means much more than the game itself for Kenny McIntosh, Christopher Smith, Warren McClendon and Jack Podlesny.

Once we all agreed on that, we went into some more controversial territory.

Jake Rowe posed the question: If Georgia three-peats with a healthy, offensive juggernaut Brock Bowers as a true junior, is #19 the greatest Georgia football player of all time?

Even greater than Herschel Walker and Nick Chubb and Rodrigo Blankenship?

I added that last one, of course. And I don’t disagree with the premise, but I don’t know that people would think about a tight end that way. Fairly or unfairly.

But this show isn’t about me. It’s about you, the viewer and listener.

Dawg Stocks

We wrapped up the show with Dawg Stocks, like we do every Sunday.

I’m saying Stock UP on the Georgia–Alabama rivalry.

This is a legitimate rivalry now. Alongside Auburn, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia Tech. And it’s all because of the never-ending arguments on the internet.

Rowe had some words on Kenny McIntosh.

Jake Reuse had some words on crootin’.

And Palmer Thombs did, too.
