The 2024 NFL Draft is in the books and Georgia had eight players selected during the seven-round event. Those who didn’t get drafted, however, are getting an opportunity to continue their football careers as undrafted free agents.

According to the official Twitter/X account of Georgia football, Tramel Walthour has been picked up by Baltimore. That leaves long-snapper William Mote as the only draft-eligible Bulldog looking for a landing spot.

Walthour had a long, productive career at Georgia. He originally signed with the Bulldogs in 2018, spending one season at Hutchinson Community College (Hutchinson, Kan.) and then spent the final five years of his college career in Athens. He was afforded the sixth season due to the 2020 season which was affected by COVID-19. The NCAA decided that season wouldn’t count against the eligibility of any player in any sport.

The Hinesville, Ga. native played over 725 snaps at Georgia. He piled up 48 total tackles during that time with two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss while being a reliable run defender for the past three seasons from his defensive end position. Walthour exits Georgia as a two-time National Champion.

Two Bulldogs went in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which took place on Thursday. Brock Bowers went No. 13 overall to Las Vegas while Amarius Mims was taken five picks later by Cincinnati with the No. 18 overall pick.

Three more Georgia players heard their names called in round two. Ladd McConkey was taken by the Los Angeles Chargers with the second pick of the second round. Kamari Lassiter was selected by Tennessee at No. 42 overall. Javon Bullard was also taken in the second round with Green Bay making the call.

Tykee Smith wrapped up day-two action for the Bulldogs. Tampa Bay took him in the third round. Sedrick Van Pran was the next Georgia player taken when Buffalo chose him in the fifth round. Zion Logue was selected in the sixth round by Atlanta.
