Warren Brinson wonders why Georgia didn't get White House invite

Georgia apparently didn’t get an invite to the White House, and Dawgs defensive lineman Warren Brinson doesn’t seem thrilled about it. The rising senior from Savannah, Ga., let the President hear it, too.

Brinson tweeted at Biden’s POTUS account, “No invite to the White House is crazy😓@POTUS”

Who can blame Brinson for being upset? It’s a pretty big honor for athletes across all sports to pick up that invitation to the White House. Not many of them win back-to-back titles, either.

Georgia had no plans to visit the White House last season, and DawgsHQ didn’t receive any indication that the Dawgs had it on the schedule this year, either.

Of course, Covid-19 may have been a factor last season. As for this year, I think Warren Brinson’s bewilderment makes sense.

National Championships don’t grow on trees. Some players associate championships with the distinguished opportunity to meet the President and get a team photo at the White House.

For whatever reason, Georgia doesn’t appear to have that bucket-list trip in its future after this title.

But it will be another legendary motivation opportunity for Kirby Smart.

Warren Brinson misses an opportunity to put his media interview skills to the test

Brinson displayed his one-on-one TV interview skills during Peach Bowl and National Championship media days.

He was pretty good on camera. I’m sure he’s bummed about not getting the opportunity to take his talents to Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania Avenue.

As LSU showed us a couple years ago, those on-camera moments can be priceless.

Even without that trip in his demo reel, I think Brinson will be just fine if he wants to pursue a career on-camera.

As his tweet shows, he doesn’t lack candor and that investigative nose for the hard-hitting news. Just take a look at what he did before that legendary Peach Bowl victory against Ohio State.

No nerves. Just getting straight to the facts.

Maybe Georgia is just the first casualty of Biden’s White House not inviting College Athletes

Even the Braves went on a postponed trip almost a year after winning their title.

At least Georgia got to celebrate its back-to-back National Championship victories somewhere. That’s more than most teams can say.

The Bulldogs are National Champions and that they got to celebrate their victories with all of their barkin’ fans at Sanford Stadium. It’s tough to beat that.

Besides, who needs the White House when you have three of the most important houses in history in your own state?
