Kansas State Vs Iowa State Full Game Highlights

Kansas State offensive MVP: Ben Sinnott

One guy that had a brilliant game was Kansas State tight end Ben Sinnott.

In his final game at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, he had a record breaking performance. Sinnott broke the record for most receptions in a game for a K-State tight end. For the game the Iowa native totaled 10 catches for 136 yards and a touchdown.

His score also broke the school’s tight end record for most touchdowns in a season with six. Sinnott broke another record as well on the touchdown. He broke the single-season yards record for a Kansas State tight end as well.

Running back DJ Giddens had a solid night. The in-state product had 31 carries and 114 yards and a touchdown. Giddens went over 1,000 yards for the season and was the third fastest in K-State history to do so.

Kansas State true freshman wide receiver Jayce Brown continued his great second half of the season.

Brown caught five passes for 69 yards in the 42-35 loss. The Florida native now ranks No. 4 all-time for the Wildcats in receiving yards for a freshman. Brown is also No. 2 in terms of receiving yards for a true freshman, just 49 shy of Deuce Vaughn.

Defensive MVP: N/A

To be honest, there was no K-State defensive player worthy of being a player of the game. Allowing 42 points on just 35 plays is about as bad as it gets.

K-State special teams MVP: Seth Porter

Once again the special teams MVP comes on a muffed punt recovery. Kansas State super senior Seth Porter hopped on the ball after a high punt from Jack Blumer. K-State also capitalized on the muffed punt and scored a touchdown before the end of the first half.

Kicker Chris Tennant was perfect on all of his kicks, including two field goals in the loss. The junior kicker has really had a solid season. Tennant is now 11 of 14 on field goals this season.
