WINNERS

1) ADRIAN: What a game it was for Kansas State quarterback Adrian Martinez against Oklahoma. The senior had 382 yards of total offense and five total touchdowns in the win and played what was probably the best game of his career.

2) KANSAS STATE: K-State has now won three of the last four games against the Sooners and four of the last six games in Norman.

3) BIG 12: It’s always a good day for the Big 12 when Oklahoma and Texas both lose. It’s even better when it comes at the hands of Kansas State and Texas Tech. I bet somewhere Brett Yormark and Bob Bowlsby are smiling.

4) JALON DANIELS: Jalon Daniels has been playing very well for Kansas this year and that continued on Saturday. He threw for 324 yards and four touchdowns against Duke and added 83 yards rushing with another score. He is probably the best quarterback in the Big 12 through the first four weeks.

5) TENNESSEE: Tennessee defeated Florida on Saturday for the first time since 2016 and just the second time since 2005.

LOSERS

1) MIAMI: Following up a loss to Texas A&M with a dud against Middle Tennessee isn’t a great look for Mario Cristobal in year one.

2) NEBRASKA: Even in a week where they didn’t play, Nebraska can’t stop taking L after L. K-State quarterback Adrian Martinez looked great in the win over the Sooners, who destroyed the Huskers, and Kade Warner recovered the game winning onside kick. To add insult to injury, Northwestern lost again on Saturday and haven’t won since knocking off the Cornhuskers in Ireland. Put another way, the team that tripped up Nebraska in Europe has yet to win a game in the United States of America.

3) DEREK YOUNG: DY was on the record of saying how Kansas State would lose by multiple scores to Oklahoma. In fact, his official prediction was that the Sooners would defeat K-State, 35-13. He couldn’t have been more wrong.

4) HERM EDWARDS: We did not touch on it last week, but Herm Edwards getting fired on the field is a different kind of dismissal. It belongs in the same company as Lane Kiffin being let go on the tarmac. It was also reported that some of his staff leaked information to their opponents to accelerate the divorce. Woof.

5) MISSOURI: After falling to Auburn in horrific fashion, it is tough to see an SEC win for Missouri outside of Vanderbilt. That may not be a guarantee.
