All summer, we’ve shared 2023 NFL mock drafts and big boards with you as Will Levis‘ stock continues to soar. We’ve got another one to pass along from one of the most trusted names in the business.

This morning, Dane Brugler released his Top 50 NFL Draft prospect rankings over at The Athletic. Levis not only made the cut, he is just outside of the top ten at No. 11. Brugler, whose annual “The Beast” draft guide sits beside Adam Luckett’s Bible, raved about the Kentucky quarterback’s size and talent.

In most physical categories, Levis is the prototype. He is well-built with impressive play strength and athleticism for his size. As a passer, Levis has a lightning-quick release with a whip for an arm and above-average velocity to make every necessary throw. He has the talent to deliver from whatever platform necessary and is just as comfortable outside the pocket as he is driving throws from a 3-yard drop. In terms of recognition and consistency, Levis isn’t a finished product, but the talent and intangibles are why he warrants this lofty ranking.

Levis is the third quarterback on Brugler’s list behind C.J. Stroud (Ohio State) and Bryce Young (Alabama). For comparison, Pro Football Focus put Levis No. 48 on its big board and ESPN’s Todd McShay placed him No. 21 in his Top 50 prospect rankings.

In his first season at Kentucky after transferring from Penn State, Levis threw for 2,826 yards and 24 touchdowns, while rushing for nine more. He completed 66.0% of his passes to finish with an overall passer rating of 148.3. Last week, Kentucky offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello raved about Levis, noting all the pro interest the quarterback has received so far this preseason.

“We’ve had so many pro scouts come through and I know a lot of guys in the league, to talk to them, they all want to know about Will. I will say this again, I don’t know that I’ve had more fun coaching than I’ve had the last couple of months that I can remember being here. This environment, the players, the whole setup the coaches created and I’m really, really, really enjoying coaching Will. He’s going to have the chance to do something pretty cool this year.”

Will Levis’ updated Heisman Odds

Circa released updated odds for the Heisman Trophy winner this afternoon. Levis is listed at +15000, which is still in the top half of the pack.

If you’re worried about all of this going to Levis’ head, don’t; the senior has said on numerous occasions that he doesn’t listen to preseason hype and has become an expert at tuning it out.

“I don’t care,” Levis said of Heisman talk on Saturday. “It doesn’t mean anything. I don’t look at that stuff. None of that’s ever mattered, so why should I care about it?”

Only ten days until Levis can let his play on the field speak for itself.
