BREAKING: 2024 Aledo LB Davhon Keys commits to LSU
2024 Aledo (Tex.) linebacker Davhon Keys is fresh off an unofficial visit to LSU last weekend and committed to LSU on Saturday, he announced on Twitter.
LSU had the momentum in the recruiting battle for Keys after his latest trip to Louisiana, which he has deep ties to.
“I had a great time, and really enjoyed the visit,” Keys told On3. “The whole staff was very welcoming and I loved getting to see the campus and facilities. He (coach House) said he was glad I came for the visit and wants to get me back on campus as soon as possible.”
Alabama offered him Tuesday night, giving him yet another big offer on his resume. Duke, Oklahoma and TCU are among the top schools also involved with Keys.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Keys ranks as the No. 59 linebacker in the country and No. 101 overall prospect in Texas.
On3 is even higher on Keys, who ranks as the No. 38 linebacker nationally and No. 87 prospect in Texas.
Keys came out on fire in Aledo’s 5A state title game win playing a key role on both sides of the ball. In the first quarter alone, the junior linebacker forced an incompletion on a QB hurry, then recovered a fumble. Keys also works as the team’s goal-line back and powered his way to two touchdowns on five touches.
