Westgate High (La.) has been no stranger to turning out high-level college football prospects, and next up in the 2025 class is defensive back Jaboree Antoine.

Antoine is coming off a dominant sophomore season, totaling 32 tackles, five interceptions, 11 pass breakups and a defensive touchdown.

Then there was his offensive prowess.

Antoine finished the season with 1,650 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, 303 rushing yards – putting him just short of 2,000 all-purpose yards on offense.

While his offensive numbers are impressive, Antoine’s football future is on defense.

With On3’s debut of the initial Top 300, Antoine checked in as the No. 2 cornerback prospect in the country.

On3 sees plenty of versatility in Antoine’s game

Antoine’s versatility goes beyond playing offense and defense in high school.

As a 6-foot-2, 180-pound sophomore, Antoine could project at multiple positions in the defensive backfield at the college level.

After watching film of 2025 defensive backs around the country, On3 National Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power ranked Antoine as the No. 2 cornerback and No. 21 overall prospect in the 2025 class.

And with his versatility, Power makes the case for Antoine as one of the best all-around defensive backs in the country.

“We could have ranked Antoine and several other defensive backs at different positions,” Power said. “He is a guy who could play corner or safety. We decided to go cornerback. When you watch his film at corner, it’s among the best we evaluated with this Top 300 release. He is very technically sound, fluid, and you see him track the ball really impressively on his sophomore film. He can flip his hips and run with receivers down the field.

“There’s not a lot of projection there in terms of playing defensive back. He could play corner or safety. We just really loved the video. It was really impressive. We didn’t know a lot about him before, but we thought he looked like one of the top prospects in Louisiana and one of the best defensive backs in the 2025 cycle.

“He’s definitely a name to know for LSU fans.”

LSU, others are already in the mix

Antoine picked up his first college offer when Miami jumped into the mix on January 1.

On January 18, the LSU football staff extended a verbal scholarship.

Texas A&M offered Antoine five days later, and by the end of February, the Westgate High standout had added offers from Oklahoma and Michigan. With Tennessee’s offer in early-March, Antoine has an impressive list of six early verbal scholarship offers.
