When Ahmad Breaux took his final official visit to LSU before signing day, it became abundantly clear that he had made the right decision. Now, Breaux is signed with the Tigers and locked in to the 2024 class and confident he made the right choice.

“It was beyond fun. It was great,” Breaux said. earlier this month. “I got in on Friday and we went through the whole spiel. On Friday, we had a lot of food. Then we went to the stadium and got pictures and everything. Then we got to have dinner with the coaches

“I am real close with those guys. Kolaj, Trey’Dez, Dashawn and (De’Myrion Johnson) are some of the guys I became good friends with during our recruitment.”

Breaux is ranked as the No. 60 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 21 player in the state of Louisiana.

When Breaux committed in March, he was coming off of a Junior day visit that caught his attention and made his decision much easier.

“My experience on this Junior Day visit was by far one of the best I’ve ever had,” Breaux told On3 in March. “Coach Kelly, JR Belton, Coach Cain, Coach House, along with the rest of the staff welcomed me to this campus with a totally different energy that you can’t get anywhere else. It felt like home, being a kid born and raised in South Louisiana.”

From the culture to the program itself, Breaux has bought in to everything LSU is selling as it looks to get the Tigers back to winning championships for the state of Louisiana.

“The culture at LSU, the dedication, and the high bar that is set for the players by the coaches really stood out to me” Breaux said. “The staff is so welcoming and want the best for you as a man, and nobody is a stranger to them. I feel like I can go to them for anything and that’s what matters most.”

Now, Breaux will be working towards making the most of this opportunity and making an impact in Baton Rouge on the defensive line.

“It felt like home,” Breaux told On3 in March. “Being raised in south Louisiana, I grew up living this dream. I’ve seen cousins play at LSU. I’ve seen LSU’s legacy grow. The legacy is only growing with this amazing staff and the culture that I witnessed at the visit this weekend.”
