WEEK 12 Mississippi State 2024 Commitments

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at East Mississippi Community College (7-2) in first round of MACJC playoffs – East Mississippi DB Tyler Woodard; season stats: 32 tackles (21 solos), four PBUs and 2.5 tackles for loss. East Mississippi DL Ashun Shepphard; season stats: 21 tackles (11 solos), 5.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and one quarterback hurry.

Davidson (Tenn.) Academy at Lausanne (Tenn.) Collegiate (9-1) in second round of Division 2-AA playoffs – Lausanne OL/DL Luke Work; season stats: 20 tackles (14 solos), two sacks, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble. Also 1 of 1 passing for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Bartlett (Tenn.) High School at Germantown (Tenn.) High School (11-0) in second round of the Class 6A playoffs – Germantown OL Kison Shepard.

IMG (Fla.) Academy (8-0) open date – IMG Academy OL Jimothy Lewis.

North Panola High School (6-5) at Winona High School in second round of Class 3A playoffs – North Panola WR JJ Harrell; season stats: 18 of 21 passing for 578 yards and nine touchdowns, 42 rushes for 577 yards and nine touchdowns, 31 catches for 521 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Van Cleave High School at Brookhaven High School (6-4) in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Brookhaven RB/DB Xavier Gayten; season stats: 180 carries for 1,608 yards and 19 touchdowns, nine catches for 38 yards and 1 of 1 passing for 27 yards and one touchdown. Also six kickoff returns for 308 yards and two touchdowns.

Corinth High School at Holmes County Central High School (10-0) in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Holmes County Central DL Terrance Hibbler had 11 tackles (six solos), two sacks and two tackles for loss; season stats: 79 tackles (49 solos), 26 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, two forced fumbles and nine quarterback hurries.

Auburn (Ala.) High School at Baker (Ala.) High School (8-2) in first round of Class 7A playoffs – Baker QB Josh Flowers; season stats: 124 of 182 passing for 1,952 yards with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions, 150 rushes for 1,310 yards and 14 touchdowns.

North Panola High School at Winona High School (11-0) in second round of Class 3A playoffs – Winona OL TJ Lockhart. Winona LB Fred Clark; season stats: 48 tackles (23 solos), 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, one fumble caused, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.

Vicksburg High School (7-3) at Grenada High School in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Vicksburg DE Tyler Carter; season stats: 64 tackles (39 solos), 10 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown, one quarterback hurry and three PBUs.

Headland (Ala.) High School (8-2) at Holtville (Ala.) High School in first round of Class 5A playoffs – Headland LB Caleb Dozier; season stats: 94 tackles (45 solos), nine sacks, 27 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, one PBU and three fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown). On offense, 36 catches for 619 yards and seven touchdowns, 13 carries for 135 yards and two touchdowns.

McAdory (Ala.) High School (6-4) at Saraland (Ala.) High School in first round of Class 6A playoffs – McAdory tight end JaCorey Whitted had three catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns; season stats: 33 catches for 715 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Hinds Community College (3-5) no postseason – Hinds linebacker Branden Jennings; season stats: 58 tackles (42 solos), 5.5 tackles, two sacks and one fumble recovery.

Mississippi State 2025 Commitments

Noxubee County High School (7-4) at St. Stanislaus High School in second round of the Class 3A playoffs – Noxubee County quarterback Kamario Taylor; season stats: 153 of 249 passing for 2,661 yards with 34 touchdowns and five interceptions, 59 carries for 539 yards and eight touchdowns.

Hokes Bluff (Ala.) School at Madison (Ala.) Academy (10-0) in first round of Class 3A playoffs – Madison Academy linebacker AJ Rice; season stats: 71 tackles (42 solos), 13.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns.
