Elite four-star wing Devyn Quigley is officially running with the Wolfpack. NC State women’s basketball picked up its first commitment of the 2024 class Tuesday when the senior from Manchester Township (NJ) High announced her commitment over social media.

Standing 5-11, Quigley is the No. 47 recruit in the country according to ESPN’s senior top-100 rankings. She is an elite scorer and starts what could be an eventful fall for Wolfpack recruiting.

The wing scored 34.9 points per game last season, per nj.com. That is a total of 977 points in one year alone. She also pulled down 11.3 rebounds and swiped 3.75 steals per game that season.

During an interview with the Asbury Park Press in January, the Wolfpack commit discussed her impressive junior year statistics

“It’s not something I think about going into every game,” Quigley told Daniel LoGiudice of the Asbury Park Press. “My parents were worried once I started getting all these big numbers. They said don’t let it get to your head, just worry about getting into the flow of things and getting your teammates involved as much as possible.

“It kind of just comes to me.”

Quigley picked the Pack after taking visits to Rutgers, her home-state school, Texas A&M and Wisconsin earlier this year. Her September trip to Raleigh was her final official.

NC State is still hard at work to expand the 2024 class. Most recently, the program hosted five-star point guard Zamareya Jones on an official visit. The 5-7 senior from Bethel (NC) North Pitt High is a top priority for the program and would form an elite 2024 backcourt with Quigley if they both pick the Wolfpack.

Jones is the No. 17 recruit in the country and the No. 2 prospect in North Carolina. Per a source, her official visit went well. According to Sports Illustrated, the guard finished the 2022-2023 season averaging 28.8 points, 5.6 steals, 4.7 rebound and 7.1 assists per game.

Earlier this fall, Lorena Awou also officially visited NC State. The 6-4 forward also holds offers from Kentucky, Miami, Michigan and others. Per the qctimes.com, she averaged 12 points and 12.2 rebounds per game as a junior.

The Wolfpack heads into the 2023-2024 season with 11 scholarship players, including center River Baldwin, center Lizzy Williamson and forward Mimi Collins, who are all graduate students this year, and senior guard Madison Hayes. NC State’s staff could sign a large class this year, one season after bringing in 4 scholarship freshmen, including five-star point guard Zoe Brooks.
