NC State’s persistence on the recruiting trail paid off. Clinton (S.C.) three-star offensive lineman Tre Aiken committed to the Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon as he spurned several SEC programs in the process.

Aiken, the No. 10 player in the Palmetto State’s 2026 cycle, picked the Pack over Florida and in-state power South Carolina among others.

The 6-foot-4, 285 pound interior offensive lineman had long been a priority for Wolfpack assistant Garett Tujague, who has been Aiken’s lead recruiter for more than a year. The bond between Aiken and Tujague began during a June camp in 2024, where the prospect initially picked up his NC State offer.

From then on, Aiken zoomed up the Wolfpack’s offensive line board. He was on campus several times since then, including a June 6-8 official visit this summer. NC State’s consistent efforts in courting Aiken proved to be beneficial as he elected to not only commit to the Wolfpack, but he ended up canceling his South Carolina official visit two weeks afterwards.

Aiken is the Wolfpack’s 18th overall commitment of the 2026 cycle. He joins Mentor (Ohio) three-star offensive lineman Landry Brede, Kinston (N.C.) wide receiver Tyreek Copper, Buford (Ga.) three-star running back Dylan McCoy, Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth three-star wide receiver Jaire Richburg, Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal three-star tackle Brady Sakowitz, Clayton (N.C.) three-star ATH Aiden Smalls and Pfafftown (N.C.) Reagan three-star quarterback Jacob Smith as the team’s offensive commits.

NC State’s defensive pledges, meanwhile, include Locust Grove (Ga.) Lulella three-star safety safety Markel Aguirre, Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge safety Tristen Hill, Winter Park (Fla.) three-star cornerback Jordan Jackson, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star defensive lineman Carmelo McKenzie, Paramus (N.J.) Catholic three-star linebacker Jordan Moreta, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills linebacker Zykir Moore, Baltimore (Md.) Milford Mill Academy three-star safety Koby Sarkodie and Shelby (N.C.) Crest three-star safety D’Various Surratt.

Cameron (N.C.) Union Pines long snapper Taylon Tranel is the Wolfpack’s only special teams commit.
