The Wolfpacker Show: Previewing NC State vs. Campbell

NC State completes its two-game homestand this Saturday afternoon as Campbell visits Carter Finley Stadium for the first time ever. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. 

But before the Camels arrive in Raleigh, The Wolfpacker Show breaks down everything you need to know going into the game, including how NC State is looking to shake its two-game losing streak to avoid falling to .500 for the first time this fall.

In this episode: 

– NC State is entering this weekend’s game against Campbell after losing 23-21 to Virginia Tech last week. The Wolfpack, which dropped to 3-2 (1-2 ACC), struggled to tackle the Hokies, leading to the defeat. This week’s game is critical in correcting those mistakes, something the program has spent much of this week working on. 

– While the Pack has worked through the tackling issues this week, the team is also battling several injuries. Noah broke it all down on the podcast, but the Wolfpack’s biggest expected absence against the Camels will be starting middle linebacker Sean Brown. He left the loss to Virginia Tech early and did not return. Caden Fordham will start in his place, while Kenny Soares Jr. is set to make his first Wolfpack start.

– Outside of injuries, NC State does have to play a game against Campbell. Noah highlighted three Camels players to keep an eye on in the game, including a two-quarterback system that the program likes to deploy to have a dynamic unit. 

– Although Campbell is the opponent, Noah explains why this is more a game of NC State against itself than it is against the Camels, a team it shouldn’t have too much to worry about on the scoreboard.
