Twice in Ole Miss’ three-game winning streak has star second-year running back Quinshon Judkins rushed for 120 or more yards.

His uptick in production (Judkins rushed for no more than 60 yards in any of the first four games) has come not-so-coincidentally as tight end Caden Prieskorn has slowly rounded into form in his return from injury.

Prieskorn missed the season’s first three games as he recovered from a knee injury suffered during preseason practices in August. He’s since claimed the job all to himself (one-time decorated transfer Michael Trigg has since left the team), and Ole Miss’ once-stagnated rushing offense has come alive.

“It’s almost like having another offensive lineman out there,” Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart said.

“I feel like I’ve definitely helped in the run game,” Prieskorn added. “Just me kind of doing both — being able to catch the ball and run the ball. But the transition to Ole Miss from Memphis, the way they play me is kind of similar — in the box and off the ball.”

Ole Miss is now third in the SEC in rushing yards per game (189) and next hosts Vanderbilt Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network.

“Finally being able to be 100 percent,” Prieskorn said. “Last week was the first week I actually practiced every day. This is the best I’ve felt all season, even through camp. Now just got to keep things going.”

Prieskorn, as well as Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and EDGE Cedric Johnson, met the media Monday to usher in Vanderbilt week.

Here’s everything they had to say.
