Five-Star PF Kwame Evans Jr. Lists Oregon Among Final Five
One of the top players in the country has placed Oregon on his short list. Montaverde Academy (Md.) power forward Kwame Evans Jr. recently announced a top five consisting of: Oregon, Indiana, Auburn, Kentucky and UCLA.
The 6-foot-10, 190-pounder is the No. 2 ranked player in the country per the On3 Consensus Rankings. He would end up as the Ducks highest rated commitment should he pick Oregon.
From On3’s Joe Tipton, Evans will take his official visit to Oregon on April 30. He has already visited Kentucky officially. Both are tied in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 36.5% chance each to land Evans.
Oregon added a commitment from 5-Star small forward Mookie Cook last week. Cook noted in several interviews he would be targeting Evans to join him in the 2023 class.

What do you like about Oregon?
I like their program. Their coaching staff makes me feel like a priority. I just feel like Oregon is a good fit for me, really. And their atmosphere is crazy too when they got really big games up there.
Evans also mentioned in a previous interview with On3 that there is a unique appeal with Oregon’s NIL/brand deals.
