Four-star Philadelphia, Pa., Roman Catholic receiver Tyseer Denmark, is set to pick the second school of his recruitment. Will Penn State be the pick this time around? The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Class of 2024 recruit will make his choice known at 6 p.m. ET. He has not yet shared how he will make the announcement, but a social media post is likely.

Here is where things stand entering decision day.

Tracking Tyseer Denmark’s recruitment

Penn State has long made pushing hard for in-state talent a priority. Denmark is one of the players who the Lions pushed all of their chips in for early on. The program offered him way back in February of 2021 with a pair of defensive staffers who focus on Philadelphia, Terry Smith, and then graduate assistant Deion Barnes, leading the charge. At the time, it was the receiver’s third college offer.

Of the first 15 programs that gave Denmark a chance to play college football, the Lions would later become the only one to make his final three. Ohio State and Oregon, who offered later, were the other finalists. The receiver ultimately picked the Ducks in November of 2022 and stayed committed to the PAC-12 program until this past weekend. It was then that he took an official visit to Penn State and finished it by backing away from his pledge to Oregon.

Who are the contenders?

At this point, Denmark has not yet released a list of new finalists for his services. The Ducks are likely out of the running. It’s unclear if the Buckeyes are still recruiting him. More than 30 programs have offered Denmark. But, at this juncture, Penn State seems to be the one with the best chance of landing him by a significant margin.

Who leads on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine?

Powered by an On3 RPM pick from BWI recruiting insider Ryan Snyder and publisher Sean Fitz, Penn State has a massive lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine percentage leaderboard heading into decision day.

What has he said about Penn State?

Speaking to BWI following an unofficial visit for the White Out game back in October, Denmark had this to say:

“I loved the game man. It’s always a great atmosphere there, but for that game, it’s just always different every time. Mom enjoyed it too, and that’s what really makes me smile. She was excited to be there.”
