Penn State’s search for more offensive linemen continues Monday with two Class of 2023 prospects on campus.

As we noted over the weekend, Georgia native Connor Lew will see Penn State for the first time later today.

Lew, who stands at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, only recently earned an offer from Penn State, as position coach Phil Trautwein extended a scholarship back on Feb. 18. That’s notable because it came about two weeks after the Nittany Lion coaching added five-star Jven Williams, who was the last offensive lineman to make that move on Feb. 5. That followed commitments from Alex BirchmeierJoshua Miller and Anthony Donkoh.

All four of Penn State’s committed players could end up playing inside, although Donkoh is projected to start out at tackle. Lew focuses specifically on center, and Penn State hasn’t recruited a true center prospect since Trautwein joined the staff.

Lew has earned 22 scholarship offers so far. Some of the top programs include Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Miami, Pitt, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. Auburn has hosted him the most, visiting four times between June 2021 and March 2022. Georgia has hosted him three times now, while Tennessee has hosted him twice.

After visiting Penn State, Lew plans to drive to Pittsburgh to visit with Pat Narduzzi and his staff. He also has visits planned to Miami and Vanderbilt later this month.

Penn State will also welcome Lehi, Utah native Austin Boyd to campus this afternoon. Listed at 6-foot-3, 260 pounds, Boyd has earned a handful of Ivy League opportunities in recent weeks, with Brown, Columbia, Harvard and Penn all offering him. Fordham also extended a scholarship offer in March.

There are plenty of Football Bowl Subdivision programs showing steady interest, however. Since last summer, Boyd has taken three visits to BYU. He’s also visited Air Force, Boise State, Colorado and Utah State this spring.
