It’s time to dive into Thursday’s top tweets and headlines.

Penn State tweets of the day

We start with numerous new offers that the Lions sent out on Wednesday. As BWI’s Ryan Snyder reported, offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and the Penn State staff moved on Indiana quarterback and 6-foot-5, 210-pound On300 and On3 four-star Class of 2024 recruit Tyler Cherry. They did the same with Class of 2025 Alabama native and five-star Crimson Tide wide receiver commit Ryan Williams.

In addition to them, the following players now claim PSU offers:

–Ohio Class of 2025 quarterback Tavien St. Clair

–California Class of 2024 junior college cornerback Sione Laulea

–Connecticut Class of 2025 offensive lineman Owen Aliciene.

In other news, Penn State football coach James Franklin, basketball coach Mike Rhoades, athletic director Pat Kraft, and others from the athletic department were in Harrisburg on Wednesday as Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro welcomed the Nittany Lions to the state Capitol to celebrate last year’s Rose Bowl victory.

“I said in my original press conference, Pennsylvania boy with a Penn State heart, so to have any opportunity to come here and represent Pennsylvania is special for me and coach Rhoades,” Franklin said, according to WGAL-TV.

Added Shapiro, per PennLive:

“The brand of Penn State stretches far beyond this commonwealth, and you know what else stretches beyond the bounds of their day-to-day lives? That is the work that these coaches do.”
