Another Penn State receiver target is set to decide. On3 Industry Ranking Class of 2024 four-star Josiah Brown will make his college choice known at 7 pm ET Friday, he announced on Thursday. Pittsburgh Central Catholic received Peter Gonzalez is also making his announcement then.

The Lions lead on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for both prospects. They landed their first Class of 2024 pass catcher on Wednesday when Philadelphia four-star Tyseer Denmark committed.

Brown, who stands 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, has a top three of Penn State, Georgia, and Rutgers. He took an official visit to see the Nittany Lions last weekend.

“It’s kind of hard to pinpoint one thing. Everything was great,” Brown told BWI. “What I would say is that they have a really strong family atmosphere there.

“I feel like I have a strong connection with everyone there, and because of that, I loved everything about my visit.”

Michigan, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Florida were in Brown’s top seven before he shaved his list to three schools.

“Penn State and Rutgers are definitely the main two at the moment, Brown told BWI this week. “I am still talking to Michigan about things, but it’s mainly those two.”

An On300 member, he is the No. 252 recruit overall, the No. 11 athlete, and top player in the Keystone State according to the On3 Industry Ranking. Penn State is the favorite entering decision day. But, the Lions didn’t pressure Brown to start planning his commitment after his official visit, either.

“They definitely made it clear that they want me to come there, and that’s definitely a possibility,” Brown said. “But they also made it clear that they don’t want me to rush the process and make any hasty decisions.”
