Purdue has bolstered its secondary with a commitment from Northwestern DB An’Darius Coffey on Tuesday. The sixth-year senior will have one year of eligibility.

The 5-10, 200-pound Coffey transferred from Memphis to Northwestern on December 21. Coffey spent the previous four seasons at Memphis. In 2024, the safety totaled 23 tackles with two forced fumbles.

Coffey is the third DB Purdue has added from the portal in April–joining Memphis CB Chalil Cummings and Colorado S Myles Slusher–and the 20th player overall.

A native of Winona, Miss., Coffey was at Memphis with Purdue DB coach Charles Clark, who already has landed two of his former Tiger DBs: S Tahj Ra-El, in addition to Cummings.
