RJ Maryland gets his first TD of the year
09/13/2025 05:25:20 PMIt’s been a long road of recovery for RJ Maryland, but the big tight end is back in the end zone for SMU. Maryland did well to hold onto a low pass from Kevin Jennings and finish the play for a touchdown. Mustangs went 55 yards on five plays and extend their lead, 28-10, with 12:58 to play in regulation.
End of third quarter: SMU 21 – Missouri State 10
09/13/2025 05:16:14 PMSMU has finally created some breathing room and will look to put the game away early in the fourth quarter. The Mustang defense just forced a turnover on downs on the final play of the third quarter. Now, it’s up to the SMU offense to score and try to wrap this game up. SMU has scored 21 unanswered after falling behind 10-0 in the first quarter.
TJ Harden with another explosive run

After a strong punt return from Yamir Knight, TJ Harden bounced off a tackler and took the run 37 yards all the way to the house. SMU now has some much-needed breathing room and leads 21-10 with 2:56 remaining in the third quarter.
HALFTIME: SMU 14 – Missouri State 10
09/13/2025 04:15:34 PMAll things considered, SMU should feel happy to have the lead at the half. The Mustangs started the game as poorly as possible, committing multiple key penalties, turning the ball over and giving up chunk plays. As a result, MO State took an early 10-0 lead. SMU had to claw its way back into the game, but the team found a way to do so. The Mustangs lead the Bears thanks to touchdowns by Dramekco Green and TJ Harden. Coach Lashlee will have plenty to talk about in the halftime locker room.

Fellow freshman Dramekco Green pushed his way into the end zone from six yards out. SMU trails Missouri State, 10-7, with 3:42 left in the first half.
End of first quarter: SMU 0 – Missouri State 10
09/13/2025 03:17:16 PMSMU had a disastrous first quarter. Between the poor tackling and turnovers, the Mustangs could consider themselves lucky to only be down 10. Missouri State has the ball at the SMU 47-yard line to start the second quarter. SMU must find a spark from somewhere to avoid catastrophe.
