2025 cornerback Caleb Chester commits to Texas

The Longhorns have made stops at some of the most successful high school football programs in the state of Texas in recent years in order to bring talent into the program, and did so once again for the latest addition to their 2025 class. Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall cornerback Caleb Chester committed to Texas, choosing the Longhorns over Arkansas and Texas A&M.

For the Buffs in 2023, Chester had 16 tackles and four passes defended. Standing at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Chester visited Texas two times during the spring with stops in Austin for the January Junior Day and another trip in April for a spring practice. He chose to commit to Texas before taking scheduled official visits to Texas A&M and Arkansas.

Chester is ranked as the No. 693 overall prospect, the No. 68 cornerback, and the No. 109 player in Texas according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
