Pack ties C.J Hinojosa as the highest rated recruit to make it to campus in the history of their rankings dating back to 2010. Ranked #32 by Perfect Game and #33 by Baseball America, this is a massive addition to a 2026 roster that needs depth in the outfield. The freshman out of Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan will figure to make an instant impact on the basepaths as well as push for a starting role given the loss of Jack Moroknek to the draft.
Pack is the 17th top 100 player ranked in the Perfect Game service to head to the Disch, with more top 100 players potentially following.

Per MaxPreps.com, this last season he slashed .388/.490/.588 (AVG/OBP/SLG) as a senior. With excellent speed graded at a 55 by MLB.com, he will at the very least find his way onto the basepaths in 2026. However he is a plus fielder with a strong arm that has been clocked at 93 mph throwing from the outfield.

This is a perfect example of a player that will benefit from developing in Matt Couch’s offseason and in season weight programs, as well as benefiting from getting guidance from former Silver Slugger Troy Tulowitzki. Another note is that he will be here for the next three years given his age will not be 21 at the time of the 2027 MLB Draft.
There is a really cool article from MLB.com on Pack and his relationship with longtime Seattle Mariner J.P Crawford who is also from Long Beach. It is worth a read!
Texas has suffered some losses to the MLB Draft with Kayson Cunningham, Gavin Fien, Max Belyeu, and Jack Moroknek headed for the big leagues as well as signees Xavier Mitchell and Grayson Boles, but the addition of Pack sure does help the Longhorns’ cause.
