Manning left during overtime of Texas’ win at Mississippi State. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said Monday that Manning was in concussion protocol. On Wednesday on the SEC Coaches Teleconference, Sarkisian said both Manning and safety Michael Taaffe practiced on Wednesday. Sarkisian added that Taaffe practiced yesterday as well.
Taaffe was listed as QUESTIONABLE as well. So too were EDGE Lance Jackson and center Cole Hutson.
Wide receiver Aaron Butler was listed as PROBABLE.
For Vanderbilt, defensive lineman Yilanan Ouattara, quarterback Drew Dickey, running back Chase Gillespie, defensive back Vanzale Hinton, and defensive lineman Nikhil Jefferson were all listed as OUT.
Texas battles Vanderbilt this Saturday at 11 a.m. in Austin at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. ABC will televise the contest.
