“On an injury note, obviously Cedric got hurt the first play of the game,” Sarkisian said. “Hamstring injury. We don’t think it’s overly significant, but he’ll be out this week from a precautionary standpoint to hopefully get him ready for SEC play.”
Baxter, who missed all of the 2024 season due to a knee injury, has 24 carries for 110 yards in 2025.
Cole Hutson and Kobe Black were also dinged up in the game against UTEP, each needing to exit. Sarkisian said they would be listed as questionable.
Xavier Filsaime missed the UTEP game with a shoulder issue and he will also be questionable. In the last question of his press conference, Sarkisian once again said Emmett Mosley was “close.”
