CLEVELAND ROCKS: Texas lands Alabama four-star DT Vodney Cleveland

Texas DL coach Kenny Baker has been cooking the Longhorns kitchen this cycle. They just added a new entree. 2026 Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star Vodney Cleveland committed to Texas today.

The 6-foot-3, 325-pounder chose the Horns over Florida, Miami, North Carolina, and Alabama.

Early in his recruitment, he was viewed as staying in-state. His uncle, Don Page, played at Auburn, and he committed to Alabama after his sophomore season.

But Baker started showing up to Birmingham and Texas started chipping away. He took OVs to Florida on May 30-June 1, Georgia on June 6-8, and Texas on June 13-15.

“Texas is definitely different from any atmosphere I’ve seen,” said Cleveland. “Everyone is together, everybody is on the same page, strong family vibes. That’s what you want in a program.”

The four-star interior defender recorded 38 total tackles (28 solo), 6 TFLS, and 5 sacks this season. Cleveland previously starred at Prattville High School before transferring to Parker.

Cleveland is the No. 120-rated prospect, No. 11-rated defensive lineman, and No. 8 overall prospect in the nation for the Class of 2026, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
