Damaad Lewis Names Texas Among Final Five Schools
Three-star defensive lineman Damaad Lewis out of Ballantyne High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, is narrowing down his recruitment. Lewis recently announced a top five featuring Texas, Washington, North Carolina State, Texas A&M, and USC.
Lewis, ranked as the 106th defensive lineman in the nation, 43rd overall prospect in North Carolina, and No. 1,083 nationally, visited Texas in April. During that trip, he said he enjoyed getting a closer look at the Longhorns’ program, experiencing the campus energy, and feeling welcomed by the staff.
Lewis expressed interest in setting up an official visit to Texas but never did. His only reported official visit so far was to North Carolina State on June 13. He said he wanted to return to Austin and get a stronger sense of the environment while spending more time with coaches and players. Texas is looking to add another edge in this 2026 class.
