Ian and Paul look at some All-22 footage of the Florida Gators, who enter this contest 1-3. They look at some plays from Florida’s loss to LSU including one of DJ Lagway’s five interceptions against the Tigers. LSU has a strong defense and gave Florida some issues that the Longhorns will try to replicate. Lagway isn’t solely to blame for some of the problem throws he made. The overall point is that the Gators can be sloppy in the passing game.

The next play is a look at a run play from the Gators that features Jadan Baugh, who might be the best player on the Florida offense. Billy Napier and Steve Sarkisian are cut from a similar cloth, so the Longhorns should know what they’re looking at. Still, Baugh is a “tremendous running back and it actually works for them — the run game — when they actually use it.”

A look at the Florida defense follows from the loss to Miami. The Gators, under Ron Roberts, are a quality defensive unit and gave Carson Beck issues when they played the Hurricanes. The Gator secondary is highlighted as being sound all around with a lot of trust in the cornerback corps even with some injuries.

There is a look at GT counter against the Florida defense considering the Longhorns use that play plenty. Some Florida players do look a wee bit clueless against certain schemes, indicating places where Texas could take advantage.
