The Longhorns and the Colorado State Rams signed a contract for Texas’ 2024 season opener all the way back in March of 2019. The CSU athletic department will receive $1.8 million from Texas, due by January 30, 2025.
Texas’ deal with UTSA was also agreed to in 2019. The Longhorns and the Roadrunners signed up for a four-game series, all in Austin, with contests in 2024, 2026, 2028, and 2030.
Texas will pay UTSA $1.6 million for the 2024 contest. That is also due by January 30, 2025.
2026’s battle will see Texas send $1.7 million south on IH-35. Texas will pay UTSA $1.8 million for the 2028 matchup. The 2030 game between the two members of the UT System will cost Texas $1.9 million.
Texas agreed to two games with Louisiana-Monroe in June of 2023 as a result of the SEC sticking with an eight-game conference schedule in 2024 and 2025. Both of the contests between UT and ULM will be in Austin. One is this Saturday and the other is on September, 1, 2029. Texas will pay ULM $1.5 million for each trip made by the Warhawks. Each payment is due by the December 31 following the playing of the game.
Contracts for two previous non-conference games were also obtained by Inside Texas. The Longhorns paid ULM $1.85 million for their 2022 matchup. Texas won that game 52-10.
