Joe and Evan go over a few different aspects of Steve Sarkisian’s Monday press conference, including his preview of Ohio State, a look at Arch Manning’s mentality entering the first game of the 2025 season, and other parts of his program that has developed throughout the offseason.

First, the two look at the information provided by Sarkisian regarding injuries. Sarkisian said Trevor Goosby will be available and is expected to start as IT has mentioned often in the past few weeks. Goosby left the Longhorns’ second preseason scrimmage with an undisclosed injury. Emmett Mosley V was the other update, with Sarkisian calling him limited.

The discussion continues with a look at how Sarkisian’s program has thrived on the road in the past few years. Texas’ last true road lost was in 2022 at Oklahoma State. The Longhorns’ remaining losses have been in neutral site contests. The necessary aspects for that streak to continue in 2025 are discussed.

Finally, the two look at how Sarkisian has called his team a “fun team” that’s been enjoyable to coach. With a lot of young players, Sarkisian has enjoyed the seriousness and the energy he’s seen from young players.
