On a Monday livestream on the Inside Texas Football YouTube channel, Eric Nahlin, Ian Boyd, and LC go over topics related to the new EA Sports College Football 25 video game, where the Longhorns go at certain positions after an eventful recruiting week, and more viewer questions.

They start with a discussion of EA Sports College Football ranking Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium as the No. 19 toughest environment to battle in for the upcoming release of the game. Kyle Field at No. 1 is something that is hard to believe, as is Oklahoma and Alabama having higher rankings. For the latter, it’s agreed that it’s based on wins and history more than noise. For Kyle Field, it’s more so unrealized mystique rather than a difficult team playing there.

Other environments of note? LSU, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Texas Tech, Michigan, and Notre Dame.

More EA Sports College Football talk follows, looking at the rankings individual offenses and defenses Texas ranks No. 4 on offense and No. 8 on defense.

They field a question asking about the best position group on the team. After some back and forth, the two come to agree on WR being at the top with O-line and QB right behind. As the two go down the rankings, they look at the questions surrounding of some of the other spots but don’t identify any major weaknesses.

A question on NIL and its impact in recruiting comes next, including how market dynamics affect individual recruitments, the role of agents, “resetting the market,” and more.

Recruiting and specific recruitments are up next, including Riley Pettijohn, Dakorien Moore, and others the Longhorns have missed on despite adding Kade Phillips in recent days.

Plenty more topics are covered including KJ Lacey’s place in the rankings, if Texas O-linemen could switch to defensive tackle, special teams depth, and more viewer questions.
