Keaontay Ingram briefly on his season, what's next

After rushing for 708 yards and scoring 5 TDs from scrimmage in his freshman season, Texas running back Keaontay Ingram still saw room for self-improvement following the Sugar Bowl.
“In my opinion, I don’t feel I did as good as I should have,” Ingram said in the locker room post-game. “I could have brought way more to the table. I just have got to go through the offseason, correct those, and get ready for next season.”

Ingram played in 13 games in 2018, missing Texas’ home win over the USC Trojans. He split carries with graduate transfer Tre Watson and quarterback Sam Ehlinger. Despite splitting carries, Ingram was able to eclipse the 100-yard mark against Baylor with 19 carries for 110 yards, both career bests.
He was able to come in and earn playing time, something he knew would take a lot of hard work.
“Nothing’s given to you as a freshman,” Ingram said. “If you want to come in and work and you want to be successful at what you do and at your craft, I say come here to Texas. We’re already making progress. Man, if you want to come here and win games, especially big games and beat people like Georgia, just come to Texas.”
Asked specifically what his off-season goal was, Ingram was quick to answer.
“I’ve got to put on some weight,” Ingram said. “I’ve got to get up to 220, 225.”
