Longhorns are everywhere in the NFL.

Sundays (and Thursdays, Fridays, and Mondays) give Texas fans an extension of their fandom, with plenty of chances to cheer on alumni now wearing professional jerseys. Here’s another edition of Longhorn Sunday.

Denver Broncos defensive tackle and former Longhorn Malcolm Roach has been making his presence felt. The Louisiana native has been one of the best run defenders on a stout Vance Joseph defense. While back in Texas on Sunday, Roach posted a sack against Houston in a 18-15 Denver victory. Roach was the fourth highest graded Bronco defender according to PFF at 76.8

The Denver roster is loaded with Longhorns. Longhorn legends Jahdae Barron and Sam Ehlinger are flanked by fan favorites Brandon Jones, PJ Locke and the aforementioned Roach. Sean Payton’s team is off to a 7-2 start.

Former Longhorn receiver Adonai Mitchell was part of a blockbuster trade ahead of the NFL’s deadline on Tuesday. In the transaction that sent All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Colts, Mitchell is Big Apple bound along with two future first round picks.

It was a tough time for Mitchell in Indianapolis. That was partly due to quarterback issues last year, but Mitchell contributed to some of the woes in 2025. Hopefully a new opportunity on the Jets provides him a fresh start.
