Longhorns are everywhere in the NFL.

Sundays (and Thursdays, Fridays, and Mondays) give Texas fans an extension of their fandom, with plenty of chances to cheer on alumni now wearing professional jerseys. Here’s another edition of Longhorn Sunday.

Byron Murphy II

Has anyone looked at the season Byron Murphy is having for the Seattle Seahawks? Mother of God. Murphy is eating the middle of his opposition’s offense as the Seahawks are 11-3 and have surrendered the second fewest points in the entire NFL.

Adonai Mitchell

I think a lot of people in the 2020s can relate to former Longhorn AD Mitchell. A lot of folks just needed a change of scenery post COVID.

It appears that every once in a while, Mitchell needs the same. His transfer from Georgia to Texas resulted in him becoming an early round draft pick. While his trade from the Colts to the Jets has caused his career to start blossoming.

Gunnar Helm

One bright spot for the Titans amidst a dismal season in Nashville has been the play of TE Gunnar Helm. The Longhorn has continued his stellar play from 2024 in Austin and is breaking franchise records for Tennessee at his position. I bet the Titans are thankful for Helm’s rolled ankle at the NFL Draft Combine last year.
