Longhorn Transfers Make the Cape Cod All-Star and Home Run Derby Contests

The summer is underway and that means we get a glimpse at some incoming transfers before they arrive at Texas with the summer offseason leagues. Two of the new transfers have already made their mark and are participating in All-Star festivities for the Cape Cod League.

Aiden Robbins will be participating in the All-Star game, making the East roster as a utility player. He leads the Harwich Mariners in OPS with an eye popping 1.015, good for 12th best in the entire league. Robbins was considered one of if not the best hitters in college baseball, and he seems to be proving it against top level talent.

Carson Tinney will be participating in the Home Run Derby contest. His numbers have been lack-luster to say it nicely; however it is clear that the power is fascinating, and he is probably wowing people in batting practice. When he has hit the ball it flies, with two of his three hits being a double and a home run.

There’s a lot to be excited about for the future of Texas Baseball and we will get a short glimpse of that on July 19th, 2025.
