In this episode, Justin and Bobby discuss…

  • Justin and Bobby start with 2024 Dripping Springs offensive lineman and Texas Tech commit Jacob Ponton taking an unofficial visit to UT over the weekend for the Texas Takeover camp. It appears that Kyle Flood has been watching the Cen-Tex product and bringing him on campus gave the Texas staff an opportunity to see him up close and personal. They also discuss a handful of Texas targets that took official visits around the country last weekend, and how it’s noteworthy that nobody committed and pulled the early trigger.

  • Justin and Bobby discuss the upcoming 2024 official visitors for the June 16-18 weekend. Justin remarks about Christian Clark, the top tailback target from Arizona, and Langham Creek tight end Jordan Washington. On defense, Danny Okoye is one of the most underrated recruits in the 2024 cycle and at a premier position. Defensive lineman Melvin Hills is also set to return to Austin after his Junior Day stop in March. Santana Wilson is also set to see the Forty Acres this weekend and could be a unheralded defensive back target.
  • Justin and Bobby finish with team news after the second week in summer workouts. The group works out as a team on Tuesday and Thursday, with weight sessions in between. Bobby asks Justin the difference in this team offseason and the past two under Steve Sarkisian. While the group will sorely miss Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson‘s leadership, this team might be more talented and certainly more confident heading into the 2023 season.
