Other college football games of note in week six

Every week on the Inside Texas Members Only board, DuvalHorn puts together the weekly viewing options for the upcoming weekend’s college football slate. Sometimes it is on the board as early as Tuesday thanks to MACtion, Fun Belt, and Weekday C-USA games. But no matter what, the weekly TV schedule lets us know what’s coming during the weekend.

Here’s what’s on tap for week six, with DuvalHorn’s own thoughts on the game.
Come talk about the games on Inside Texas!
As always, Central Time for the kickoffs.
Friday
Charlotte at South Florida (6 PM, ESPN2) – Bulls’ campaign to win the American and get that Group of 5 playoff spot begins.
New Mexico at San Jose State (9 PM, FS1) – Not a sexy matchup, but just two good football coaches going up against each other.
West Virginia at BYU (9:30 PM, ESPN) – That sloppy win against Pitt is the only thing to write home about for this corpse of a WVU team.
Colorado State at San Diego State (9:30 PM, CBSSN) – Sadly, we are on carousel watch for Jay Norvell.
Saturday
Clemson at UNC (11 AM, ESPN) – Execs at ESPN probably thought this had featured matchup potential. Whoops.
Iowa State at Cincinnati (11 AM, ESPN2) – Cincy might not be *great*, but Brendan Sorsby has the juice to make this interesting.
Kentucky at Georgia (11 AM, ABC) – Probably doesn’t happen two years in a row (and in Athens to boot), but recall that UK gave UGA quite the scare last season.
Air Force at Navy (11 AM, CBS) – Not a very deep early slate, so why not put some service academy football on the quadbox?
Texas at Florida (2:30 PM, ESPN)
Vanderbilt at Alabama (2:30 PM, ABC) – Alabama won’t (shouldn’t?!?) be caught sleeping this time, but Vanderbilt looks like a legitimately good football team.

Virginia at Louisville (2:30 PM, ESPN2) – Turns out this is a pretty consequential ACC matchup!
Boise State at Notre Dame (2:30 PM, NBC) – Notre Dame’s schedule might not be a murderer’s row post-A&M, but they certainly have an interesting variety of opponents.
Texas Tech at Houston (6 PM, ESPN) – Red Raiders have made their claim as the team to beat in the Big 12.
Miami (Fla.) at Florida State (6:30 PM, ABC) – Miami looks pretty formidable so far. Can they win on the road and play to a standard?
Mississippi State at Texas A&M (6:30 PM, SECN) – A&M’s offense can put up points in different ways, but how does their defense look at against a QB who doesn’t take a gazillion sacks and can complete forward passes?
Duke at Cal (9:30 PM, ESPN) – Manny Diaz‘s squad is all over the place. Cal QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele is proving to be must-watch.
