Last week, The Quad of the Week gave us a proper nightcap, headlined by Michigan at Oklahoma, but upstaged by Arizona State getting upset in Starkville. This week, the rules remain the same: no Longhorn overlap, four games in the same window and we give you a timeframe you should fire up the quad.

Here’s Week 3’s Quad of the Week:

Name: It Just Means ‘Four’ Saturday

Time: 6:30–7:30 CST
Game 1: Texas A&M at Notre Dame (Irish -6.5)
Game 2: Florida at LSU (Tigers -6.5)
Game 3: Arkansas at Ole Miss (Rebels -6.5)
Game 4: Vanderbilt at South Carolina (Gamecocks -3.5)

Notes: It’s an SEC Saturday on the Quad.

The Aggies and Mike Elko travel to South Bend in what should be a solid headliner with serious schadenfreude potential. Can the Irish’s playoff resume afford another loss this early in the year? It might be a must win for them already. But, even if the Farmers and Marcel Reed don’t lose, it should be a good old-school ground-and-pound game in front of Touchdown Jesus. That line is a little suspect to me too and it gives a lot of leeway to last year’s runner-up in Notre Dame.

In Louisiana, is a dead man (named Billy Napier) walking into Baton Rouge? Honestly, Brian Kelly dropping this one would be on brand.

The other games might not be close, but they’re worth keeping an eye on in case of an upset in Oxford or a shootout in Columbia. Lastly, Vanderbilt with Diego Pavia and South Carolina with their three-headed monster of athletic freaks are two of my favorite teams to watch in CFB.

Movie Pairing (No Explanation Given): John Grisham’s A Time to Kill (1996). A sweaty Southern movie with Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, and Ashley Judd feels like a fitting companion to this SEC slate.
