Justin and Joe start with a look ahead to 4-star running back Derrek Cooper’s upcoming decision. Cooper will announce his commitment on Sunday, and the Longhorns are battling the Miami Hurricanes and the Georgia Bulldogs. Cooper was once committed to Georgia for five whole days in 2024, but Texas has moved ahead in a recruitment thanks to a variety of factors. And that’s without even hosting Cooper for an official visit. If Cooper picks Texas, it would go down as a massive addition to the 2026 class.

The video goes over a couple of 2027 prospects that the Longhorns must get. Kennedy Brown is an offensive tackle from Kingwood who is ranked as the top player in the state in every service. Justin explains how Kyle Flood has already built a relationship with Brown as every school in the country, but namely Oregon and Texas A&M, are after him.

They conclude with a look at Jalen Brewster, who hails from Cedar Hill. Brewster leads a strong 2027 DT class in the state of Texas, but he stands above the rest.
