SEC Media Days Storylines: Predicting the preseason poll

Every year, the Southeastern Conference asks the media to rank the teams in the league in order of predicted finish. While the Big 12 has done away with a formal poll after Arizona State took home the 2024 conference championship following a last-place showing in the preseason poll, the SEC has not made a similar move.

The poll is gathered during the course of SEC Media Days, which is slated to start next week in Atlanta on July 14. Steve Sarkisian, Arch Manning, Anthony Hill, and Michael Taaffe are set to represent the Longhorns on July 15.

The poll is likely to be released next Thursday or Friday. Last year, Georgia earned the most predictions to become SEC champion while Texas was second. Alabama was third, followed by Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, LSU, and South Carolina.
