Bush and Kelson key in on the Florida Gators, starting with the Florida offense on All-22 film. Kelson watches a pitch play from UF and goes over some of the tendencies and decisions Florida made during their loss to the Miami Hurricanes. The Gators’ best playmakers are running backs, so playing sound run defense against a variety of schemes is emphasized.

Bush explains how Texas can stop Florida’s attempt to run this style of play and identifies a superior alignment for the Longhorns compared to what Miami put on the field.

The next play looks at the Gators’ screen game, which has become a staple of the Florida offense considering DJ Lagway’s diminished average depth of target. How to defend against the screen is explained and how Texas can take advantage of opportunities against screens is another topic.

In the second half, the group looks at how Florida’s defense played against Miami’s offense. The Hurricanes didn’t light up the scoreboard, needing a lot of carries to pick up a good amount of yards and three scores. But they did take advantage of some defensive lapses by the Gators on a gap scheme run.

The last play is another look at a play that turned out okay for Florida, but it reveals an area in the run game Texas can take advantage with pulling blockers.
