The Texas Longhorns had quite the regular season, taking the SEC by storm in the program’s first year in the league. That doesn’t happen without the play of some Longhorn legends guiding the team. Here are the present and future Horns that were voted to All-American teams.

The star of the show is Dylan Volantis, who earned first-team selections from the most respected selectors. Rylan Galvan earned two different third-team All-America selections.

Several players who committed to Texas out of the transfer portal also had seasons worthy of All-America recognition.

First Team

  • Dylan Volantis: D1 Baseball, Baseball America, ABCA, NCWBA – (freshman first team)
  • Carson Tinney: Baseball America, NCBWA
  • Kaleb Freeman: D1 Baseball

Third Team

  • Rylan Galvan: ABCA, NCBWA
  • Carson Tinney: D1 Baseball, ABCA

Volantis was one of the easiest first-team All-American votes from the 2025 season. To think Texas will have two more years before he can go to the draft is unreal.

Tinney is also an All-American, though he split his honors between a couple of first and third team selections. He will be an excellent replacement for third-team All-American catcher Galvan.

Galvan is the first Longhorn catcher to be voted an All-American since Chris Abbe made the third team in 1992. Last but certainly not least is Kaleb Freeman. The transfer from Georgia State will look to make his mark in the SEC.

If you’re counting the votes, there are a lot more looking to return as opposed to leaving the team. These lists can also serve as a bit of affirmation that Jim Schlossnagle and company have been swinging a big stick in the portal and as far as keeping the best players in Austin.
