Texas drops one spot to No. 22 in the AP Poll

The Texas Longhorns were ranked No. 22 in the most recent AP Poll, one spot back from their standing last week.

Texas defeated Kentucky 16-13 in overtime on Saturday thanks to a game-winning field goal from Mason Shipley. The Longhorns were outplayed in most areas but managed to emerge victorious thanks to an overtime goal line stand.

Teams from Texas’ schedule or the SEC in the top 25 included No. 1 Ohio State, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 8 Ole Miss, No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 13 Oklahoma, No. 15 Missouri, No. 17 Tennessee, and No. 20 LSU.

Texas dropped one spot from No. 17 to No. 18 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Teams on Texas’ schedule or in the SEC in the Coaches Poll include No. 1 Ohio State, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 8 Ole Miss, No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 12 Vanderbilt, No. 14 Missouri, No. 17 Tennessee, and No. 19 LSU.
