Texas Edge Commit Richard Wesley Ranks No. 24 in Rivals300 for 2026

Texas 2026 edge commit Richard Wesley is now ranked No. 24 overall in the latest Rivals300. The Sierra Canyon (CA) standout continues to separate himself as one of the most dominant edge rushers in the country.
Wesley was previously a five-star prospect in the 2027 class before reclassifying to 2026. Despite the jump, he hasn’t missed a beat. His frame, explosiveness, and technical skill make him one of the most college-ready defensive linemen in the cycle.
He absolutely dominated the recent Rivals Five-Star Camp, looking fluid and smooth during drills and proving nearly unblockable in 1-on-1s. Wesley’s performance only reinforced why he belongs in the five-star conversation—he checked every box from bend to burst to balance.
If Rivals expands its five-star pool to 32 players, Wesley is a strong candidate to be elevated once again. He’s already built like a Power Four defender and plays with a motor that doesn’t stop.
